Risk Assessment of Wave Over-Topping Based on Smoothed-Particle Hydrodynamics Method

FETSWCM-SWAN and DualSPHysics models are used to study the storm flooding process of Dazuo Seawall in Quanzhou city, Fujian province, China. Firstly, a over-topping assessment method is proposed. Secondly, water level wave at foot calculated by during Typhoon Usagi 2013 Dujuan 2015. Finally, typical run-up processes modeled DualSPHysics. The results show that less than 2 m, but can reach 6.85 m under Usagi. risk high when tide encountered. classified into three grades. This could provide decision-making support government departments warning against threats.
